Andrew Birkett

Andrew is a former 1st XI player at Rainhill CC, where he was an opening bat and wicketkeeper. In 1991 he accumulated 587 runs in league competition.

A genuine all-rounder, Andrew is also a very capable bowler and took 6 for 21 against Aigburth in 1987. Since retiring from league cricket Andrew played for Rainhill's Sunday Recreationals until 2019 before returning to the game with Mersey Rose in 2024.
